Pretty Trendy @ ScrapKitten

Well I finally managed to get a kit finished and into the Shoppe! Yay! This is a kit I had started and entered into the Funky Playground Designers contest, but had to leave quickly so I never got to finish the contest which upsets me a lil. But oh well. I have vamped it and added a few papers and more elements to it to make it a pretty gorgeous and FUN kit if I do say so myself!
I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but I can't wait. Here it is:

I'm back!

Wow what a ride it has been these last 3 months or so!
I am so sorry i left the way i did with barely any notice to you at all. It has been a long time coming so when I got the opportunity to leave right away I jumped on it. I left the states and I am now back in my hometown YAY! In Canada I am here to stay!

I want to thank all of you that knew what was going on for your support and understanding. It has been very rough for me and I am so happy to be FINALLY settled in my new home and gettnig back into the swing of things. I have a new computer all raring to go LOL. I am just waiting on my hard drive casing so i can access my files from my old computer in Missouri. Once i get that I will have a few new kits to add to the Shoppe.

I am so excited to be back and can't wait to make ScrapKitten bigger and better. I have been planning this for a long time and now it's FINALLY the right time to do it......

I want to create a friendly environment of Designers and have a load of FUN! Participation in the Forum would be greatly appreciated but not a MUST! Gallery comments if someone uses your kit for a LO make the customer feel welcome! A small participation for a monthly collab will be asked and profits will go towards the store. After the month, it is yours to do as you please! I will send out a weekly newsletter and daily ads to advertise the store as a whole. Designers will be picked and featured monthly and included in newsletters as well as front page recognition for the whole month! I will also pick back up with the challenges and fun stuff to keep the customers coming back to ScrapKitten.

Commisions will be as follows:

Exclusive Designers: 80%/20%

Non-exclusive Designers: 75%/25%

Payment will be on the 5th of every month

There will NEVER be a store-wide sale without the Designers being made aware

We ask you to add at least 2 new products a month to the Shoppe (doesn't have to be full kits)

She was one of the first websites I found when i started to scrap and my very first stop EVERY morning heehee. Sooo I was very honored that she chose to feature something from lil ole ME!! heehee. Ok i had to share that with you all and I am off to finish up some blinkies for some customers. You should check out the new Stuff I have made in the Sidebar in my Blinkie/Banner 4 hire Blog. I have been having so much fun with them. Hi all!
What a morning. I have been soo swamped trying to get organized heehee. Not an easy task for me LOL I woke up this morning in shock and dissapointed AGAIN.
Have you ever had a dream that was so real that when you woke up you were confused just for a min at where you were and at what point of your life you were in and where lol. Well this past weekend was a hard one for me. The 21st was the 8 year anniversary of my moms death. It is a day that I just try my best not to think about it or I will cry all day long. It never gets any easier thats for sure. Well last night I had a dream that my mom was still alive, I won't get into the details but it was sooo real that when I woke up this morning I was all disoriented. I get those dreams a LOT where it is like its actually happening then I wake up and it still feels real until I look around and realize I was just dreaming. It feels really weird thats for sure. Is this just me? or is it normal to have dreams feel that real. I actually remember having a dream once when I was a lil girl that I had gotten this doll that I had REALLY wanted. Well I woke up in the morning and was looking for this doll. I looked everywhere and was getting upset that I lost my doll. It wasn't until later that day that my mom had said it must have been a dream cuz she didn't get me that doll. I was soooo upset and cried.

Anyways I better finish up some stuff that I need to do. I just wanted to come tell you to head on over to the ScrapKitten Blog.

My Faast & Easy Alpha TUT!

I was adding my Alpha sets to my shops and decided to come post my Alpha TUT here for everyone. I make my alpha on single sheets to make it easier on both me AND you. I like having all my alpha in a few sheets rather than well LOTS heehee. So I made this tut to help use them with ease. I have PSP on one side and PS on the other. Hope this helps everyone and thanks for looking.

Fast & Easy Alpha

I started to make some alpha sets and decided to make this my first tutorial. I want to help save 'myself' (of course) and YOU some time. Let's keep the fun in creating those beautiful LO's instead of messing with a whole bunch of seperate files with different letters on each. I decided to make my alphas on single sheets, so this tutorial will help you make good use of these.
First of all you need to open your alpha file up in your program.

Next I am going to show you how to select just the letter you want to put onto your LO.

You will want to select your magic wand tool like above.

You have to make sure you have your settings selected properly in both programs. For PSP you need to select the All Opaque and for PS you need to make sure the Tolerance is set to 255. With that said you just need to click on the letter you want to put in your LO.

You will now see the marching ants around your letter. Now assuming you have your LO open just copy your letter and paste it to your page.

Now you can see that my letter is on my LO. I will now show you how to move it around and rotate to where you want it.

You need to select the pick tool in PSP and the move tool in PS. You now can see that the letter is outlined in a box. You can now click on your letter to move it to where you want.
Then you can rotate it how you would like it to appear.

In PSP you will see a lil square on the outside of the box. You need to click that and rotate it the way you want. In PS it's a lil different. You need to put your mouse on the outside corner of the box and you will see a lil arrow on both ands of a curved line, like in my diagram. Click that and you can rotate your letter. Now you can see that my letter is rotated a lil to the right. It's very simple. Now you can repeat those steps to get the rest of your letters onto your LO. See Fast & Easy! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you need any further help please don't hesitate to email me and I will be glad to explain more.

Well I am already happy with my new web Host. I just got a quick responce to my transfer request and they are already in the transfer process in transfering my files over to the new server. I sooo can't wait till everything is done. I want to share some pics with you my sister took on her trip. I just LOVE this first one!!!

New Blog Design and LOVIN it!

Ok I finally got my Blog to where I am just LOVIN it. It rocks LOL I soo can't wait to have it finished with the sidebar headers. I decided to use my new Mega Kit Continental Breakfast (June Mega). It's not even in the Shoppe yet but its a goodie. I made this kit for mylil sister Michelle who went to Europe for a month. I am soooo jellous. She's on her way back now or maybe even home and has LOTS of pics to scrap with. I promised her I was going to make her a special kit just for her. It will be in the Shoppe as soon as my New host gets all my files transfered over to the new Server. Can you all say

As soon as I get my Blog all looking right I am going to make my first Blog Kit to put in the ScrapKitten Shoppe. I have a feeling I could get addicted to these heehee. Soooo stay tuned.
